The pain has lessened to the point where I am sleeping through the night and that is such a blessing!  I do not get the excruciating pain upon lying down that I was experiencing.

Dear Bill:

I am doing well, the whole body feels much better, especially the shoulder. I can actually sleep on my right side now and that is progress... There is definitely more freedom of movement in the right arm.  In general, I am doing much better.

Hi Bill!!

I have some good news! The cramping in my right leg is all but gone.... at least 85% better. Some soreness in my back still, as well as in my right ankle, especially the Achilles area, but the shooting/searing pain and cramping in my right leg and calf has stopped. Hooray! I am really happy about the work we are doing.... feel hopeful that I will continue to heal.

Bill, I had so much energy on Saturday I thought I was on speed. I know I have a way to go but something has lifted and even my mood is better. My theory is that the body holds on to both physical and psychic trauma and it's being released.

I've def. been doing my exercises - and I feel good about how they are coming along since way back when I could not even fathom a downward dog - now I love it again.  Still a ways to go - but makes me v happy!  And that I can do this while pregnant is also a huge boost for me mentally.

I just finished doing the exercises for low back pain that you wrote about in the last issue of the Davie and Ranches newsletter. This is the first time that I have found exercises that work to restore the S curve in the back. I have a problem between S1 - L5. The exercises really helped quite a bit.

Hi Bill,

The current menu is now easy to do… I feel that my shoulders have loosened up and I know that my hips have.  This conclusion is based on an exercise that I used to do where you put your right leg over your left and try to push the left leg to the floor with your right leg. There’s now much more movement here.

Dear Bill: I am noticing how I am moving differently. Somewhat easier. I'm not as hunched (naturally, not because I decide to think about it).

Your suspicions were correct. The neck and shoulder have quieted down tremendously. It is still bothersome, but as you thought/hoped, it has gone down from an 8-10 to a 3-5 average with times where it is better and others worse, but not as constant.

Things are moving much better, feeling stronger and much more solid. I am using my additional tools when I can and I'm not taking Vicadin with my vitamins. I'd say that's an improvement. See you tomorrow.

I AM feeling better for the most part. Not surprisingly, some of those reenergized muscles are letting me know they've been reawakened, and I actually ran up the stairs yesterday, something I've not attempted in a long, long while. So thanks to you as well.

Bill: I am encouraged about the steps we have taken to help my foot.  I think the work you are doing to strengthen my calves and quads will pay dividends.  I am beginning to understand how you are changing my walk by getting me to use the quads to lift the legs rather than the hips.  

I was sore but felt stronger in the usual places yesterday and today (hips, lower back and right quad).

I am making progress with my right hip.  The lunges and hip openers in this series are getting into some very deep muscles… I am so excited.  This menu is doing wonders for my knees and feet and ankles. Glute squeezes are easier too.

I just wanted to let you know that my back is starting to loosen up and feel better. I have been doing the exercises each morning. The upper spinal floor twist is still kind of hard to do, but I am still trying. I want you to know that I really appreciate the help that you have given me.
